Try your luck at fishing in Andfjorden and Gavlfjorden
Andfjorden is a deep fjord that stretches between Andøya and Hinnøya. The fjord is known for its rich marine life, and you can catch both halibut, cod, haddock, saithe, redfish, and other whitefish species. Cod fishing is especially popular in these parts, and there are good chances of catching big fish.
You’ll find Gavlfjorden near Andøya, and it’s somewhat smaller than Andfjorden. Majestic nature and mountains surround Gavlfjorden, which is also known for its good fishing conditions. Here, you can catch species like cod, saithe, haddock, catfish, halibut, catfish, monkfish, and ling.

Whether you want to fish from the shore or from a boat, both Andfjorden and Gavlfjorden are well-suited. Fishing rods and reels are the most commonly used equipment in these areas.
